Bill's Ace Hardware has been a family owned and operated business for over 40 years. William Bohensky Sr. started a sporting goods business in 1958, in Mildred, Pennsylvania. He then purchased Hoag's Family Shoes and Shoe Repair in Dushore in 1960, and very successfully combined both businesses. In 1975, Bill purchased the Western Auto store in Dushore from Leo Morrison of Towanda and for expansion purposes in 1979, bought the Freezer Box of the old Creamery on Center Street in Dushore consolidating both stores in the Freezer Box. In 1983, the Bohensky's switched from Western Auto to the Ace Hardware Corporation to continue to accommodate their customers' needs with a wide variety of items.

Bill Bohensky Jr. has continued to preserve this family tradition in one of the oldest continuing businesses in Dushore. Bill has a variety of items including fishing and hunting goods and licenses, shoe repair, shoes, and rubber foot wear, plus hardware items including paint, plumbing and electrical supplies.
